Question: Will this work with VPN access?
Answer: VPN access is not supported. Vision Unleashed, Mobile Timesheet App, and BlackBox Solutions depend on your Vision being available offsite directly through either Http or Https.

Question: Is opening up Vision for access via the internet safe?
Answer: Yes, when properly implemented. This is the way clients connect to Deltek’s SaaS’s environment and FSP has implemented the same ability countless times. 

Question: What is required for making Vision available to the internet?
Answer: For a single server deployment or multi-tier with Web & Reporting on the same server: Create a Fully Qualified Domain Name and open port 443 on the firewall and direct the FQDN to the Vision web server.  Procure a SSL certificate for the new FQDN and reconfigure IIS and SQL reporting to use it, then modify the weblink. 

For other multi-tier deployments please contact us, the idea is the same but with custom steps depending on your environment.
